Data Collection / Research

I've changed my Insights, Problem Statement, and Idea to link more closely with one another. This will tie the project closer together and to solidify its design purpose.

Moodboard Update

I've changed my original moodboard into something more familiar and down to Earth. These designs are not what I aim to achieve 100% but it does prove to me that functionality and aesthetic visuals do come hand in hand together. For now the new moodboard is what I plan for my prototype to look like, the finalised design will depend on how the prototype functions.

Prototype Progress

Not much done recently due to my busy schedule and side effects from the vaccine. Will continue building the design by next week.

Self Reflection - Data Collection/ Research

What I learned is I should be more specific in my research and to always dig deeper into the research. Find out more about how people think and feel, not just settling on one answer and hoping it is enough. It's always better to be prepared with more materials than nothing at all.

Self Reflection - Moodboard

The moodboard helped me to realise that functionality affects the design of the artefact. But its not always the case, a lot of the designs in the new moodboard actually gives them personality even with how rugged and rough it looks. I'll keep this in mind when building my prototype and when sketching my final project.
